Location: Abravanel Hall - Carl Orff wrote of his masterpiece, “everything I have written to date can be destroyed. With Carmina Burana my collected works begin.” The Utah Symphony Chorus will sing the text to this boisterous work taken from 13th century poetry covering a range of topics as familiar in the 21st century as they were when originally written: the fickleness of fortune and wealth, the brief nature of life, and the joy of spring’s return.
