- Education/Workforce Development Committee—Provides support to schools, higher education, and workforce development.
- Utah Business Employers Team (UBET)—Focuses on educating members and employers in the community about best practices to attract, employ, and maintain qualified people with disabilities.
- International Trade Committee—Works on programs, seminars, activities, and partnerships with other groups to enhance international trade opportunities and relationships in and from Utah.
- Leadership Utah Alumni (Open to Leadership Utah graduates only). Meets regularly to address critical community issues, provide opportunities for members to network, and plan community involvement.
- Local Employers For The Advancement Of Diversity (LEAD)—A group of human resource leaders that seek to help companies enrich their workplace by building diversity.
- Military Affairs Committee—Building relationships between military installation units and Wasatch Front businesses by increasing awareness through briefings, tours, and the Salt Lake Military Salute Banquet.
- Multi-Ethnic Business Committee—Promotes, encourages, fosters, and develops business and business opportunities for multi-ethnic groups through certification, marketing, workshops, and conferences.
- President’s Ambassadors (application process)—Represent the Chamber president and CEO by fellowshipping new and existing members at Chamber functions. Community leaders speak at the committee’s monthly meeting.
- Salt Shakers (application process)—Acts as the official goodwill ambassadors of the Chamber. The group represents the Chamber at ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, and economic development site visits.
- Small Business Committee—Works to support small business in advocacy and training.
- Women’s Business Center—A public/private partnership between the Salt Lake Chamber, U. S. Small Business Administration, and Salt Lake Community College that provides counseling, training, mentoring, procurement training, and networking opportunities for women starting businesses and all existing business owners.
- Youth Employ-ability Services (Y.E.S.)—A joint program with Salt Lake County to help low income, at-risk youth achieve academic and employment success.
- Congressional/Federal Committee—Provides a forum for Chamber members to discuss the important issues facing Congress and the federal Executive Branch. Makes recommendations concerning business-related Federal legislation and regulations to the Chamber’s Board of Governors. Hosts an annual series of meetings with Utah’s Congressional Delegation in Washington D.C.
- Economic Development Committee (Invitation only)—Provides a forum for Chamber members, economic development experts, and others interested in new and existing economic development initiatives at the state and local government levels. Such initiatives include the development of business spin-offs at the research universities, technology innovation centers, and the Governors’ Clusters Program. Makes recommendations concerning economic development initiatives to the Chamber’s Board of Governors.
- Energy Committee—Provides a forum for Chamber members to discuss the critical energy issues facing businesses today, from the price of motor fuel to new oil and gas resources, from power transmission and supply to alternative energy sources. Makes recommendations concerning energy initiatives to the Chamber’s Board of Governors.
- Environment Committee—Provides a forum for Chamber members to make recommendations concerning environmental policy.
- Healthcare Committee—Provides a forum for Chamber members to discuss the rising costs of healthcare from all aspects, from the delivery of medical services to insurance coverage and the role of state and federal governments. Makes recommendations concerning healthcare initiatives to the Chamber’s Board of Governors.
- Legislative Affairs Committee—Reviews legislation during the annual General Session of the Utah Legislature and makes specific recommendations to the Chamber’s Board of Governors on legislation being considered. Provides a forum for Chamber members to meet with and hear from public elected and appointed officials at the federal, state, county, and city levels.
- Political Action Committee (Chamber PAC)—Identifies and supports state and local candidates who are favorable to Chamber members and the general business community. Uses funds raised separately from Chamber membership fees.
- Taxation Committee—Provides a forum for Chamber members to discuss the tax reform process being conducted by the Utah Legislature as well as other tax-related topics being considered at all levels of government. Makes recommendations concerning tax issues to the Chamber’s Board of Governors.
- Tourism Committee—Provides a forum for Chamber members and others interested in the important new tourism initiatives at the state and local government levels. Makes recommendations concerning tourism initiatives to the Chamber’s Board of Governors.
- Transportation Committee—Provides a forum for Chamber members and others interested in ensuring that the state and federal governments adequately fund the state’s transportation infrastructure. Makes recommendations concerning transportation funding and planning initiatives to the Chamber’s Board of Governors.
- Downtown Alliance www.downtownslc.org —The Downtown Alliance is a non-profit organization serving the downtown property owners, businesses, and residents by promoting downtown Salt Lake City as the premier cultural, business, economic, and entertainment center throughout the Intermountain West. The Downtown Alliance acts as an affiliate of the Chamber.

- Downtown Development Committee—Preserves the vitality of the state’s capital city and coordinates with other organizations’ initiatives such as recruitment, retention, planning, and development.
- Downtown Parking & Transportation Committee—Assures that downtown is in the forefront of creative multi-modal access options for workers, visitors, customers, and clients. Oversees the Downtown Token Program, Downtown Transit Pass, and explores other parking, delivery, access, construction, and transit issues.
- Downtown Marketing and Events Committee—Develops and guides Downtown Alliance efforts in branding, marketing, advertising, event planning, and promotions for downtown area. This is a invitation-only committee.
- Downtown Farmers’ Market Committee—Assists Alliance staff in providing guidelines for the Downtown Farmers’ Market, Downtown Arts & Crafts Market, Pioneer Park and neighborhood issues, and vendor dispute resolution. This is an invitation-only committee.
- First Night Steering Committee—Directs the organization and execution of First Night Salt Lake, Salt Lake City’s New Year’s Eve Celebration of the Arts. This is an invitation-only committee.
- Professional Development Series—Offers training and seminars in areas of interest to our members. This program is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to deal with the changing business climate. There are several different themed tracks that are scheduled throughout the year and include International, Marketing and Customer Service, Financial Series, Technology, Networking, Industry Forums, Insight Series, Public Policy Forums, Success Builders Seminars, etc.

- Business After Hours—The premier business networking event in Salt Lake. Each month a different Chamber member hosts the location to showcase their business.

- American Express Women & Business Conference—The conference presents workshops on professional and personal development. The prestigious international Athena Award and Pathfinders Awards are given at the luncheon.
- Annual Meeting Luncheon—The Annual Meeting reviews the Chamber’s successes and goals during a fun themed luncheon. Awards are given to Chamber Champions and Legislators of the Year.
- Business To Business Expo—One of the largest business tradeshows of its kind in the West. Over 250 exhibitors promote their businesses.
- Chamber Classic Golf Tournament—Brings business leaders together for informal networking and golf.
- A Giant In Our City Award—The highest award the Chamber bestows. Honors a business leader who has performed a lifetime of extraordinary service to the community.
- Small Business Awards—The premier honor for small business in the Salt Lake area. Categories include Community Service, Entrepreneurial Success, Minority Small Business, and Small Business of the Year. Nominations due in January.
- Women and Minority Entrepreneurial Conference—The conference offers business training on starting and growing a business targeted to women and minorities.
